ABOUT THE LAW FIRM

The immigration, deportation, and naturalization laws of the United States are dauntingly complex. We represent individuals before the INS, Board of Immigration Appeals, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Steven Seick graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in May 1989, and was admitted to the California Bar in November 1989. He is a member of the California Bar Association, the San Diego Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mr. Seick is also admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Federal District Court for the Southern District of California.

In the past decade immigration to the U.S. has become more and more difficult. Families and businesses are finding that the process of immigration is more complicated than simply filling in a few forms. For example, most petitioners must now file a lengthy affidavit of support which creates a legally binding fiduciary relationship for 10 years. The waiting period for visas has never been longer. And government backlogs often delay the issuance of visas and green cards for years.

The defense of individuals charged with a deportable offense has never been more important. Congress has given the INS unprecedented authority to detain and deport non-citizens. Often times persons charged with a minor criminal offense which resulted in only a fine or probation are then arrested by the INS. In many cases they are detained for months by the INS.

My firm is dedicated to representing individuals who need help in immigration, deportation, asylum, and naturalization matters. We know our clients' cases are extremely important - their freedom, their life, and their entire future in this country may be at stake. So we treat every client with respect, attention to detail and professionalism. If you need an immigration lawyer in San Diego, contact Steven Seick immediately.
